    We regret to advise of the death of Master Warrant Officer Henry Charles “Harry” Wilson, CD (Ret’d), peacefully on 23 October 2023 at the age of 79 years at the Perth Hospital. Harry served 37 years both at home and abroad.

    Born in New Waterford NS, Harry was a patriotic Cape Bretoner who did not forget his roots when he moved to the “mainland” after enlisting in the Canadian Forces in 1961 with the Armoured Corps. He was a Crewman with the 8th Canadian Hussars in Petawawa ON in 1973 when he remustered to Map Reproduction Technician and joined the Canadian Military Engineers. Harry spent most of his career at Mapping and Charting Establishment at Ottawa ON but also served a tour with the Canadian Forces Photo Unit (1978-79) and with Graphic Arts at Canadian Forces Base Gagetown (1982-86). Harry retired from the Canadian Forces in 1998.

    A family service in celebration of Harry’s life will be held at a later date. Donations in memory of Harry may be made to the Perth and Smiths Falls District Hospital. Online Condolences can be sent to the funeral home.
