We regret to advise of the death of Master Warrant Officer Gary Keene, CD (Ret`d) at home in London, ON on 23 October 2013 after a lengthy battle with Leukemia.
Gary was a proud member of the Canadian Armed Forces who retired as a Construction Maintenance Technician at the rank of Master Warrant Officer after a 29-year career. Garry started his career with the Canadian Military Engineers as a Field Engineer and later re-mustered to the Construction Trades. His career included postings in 4 Field Squadron Lahr, GE, Winnipeg MB and London ON and he was half-way through a six month tour to Bosnia when he suddenly became blind. He returned to Petawawa, where he took his release and settled in London.
Visitation will be held on Sunday. 27 October from 2:00-4:00 and 7:00-9:00 p.m. at Westview Funeral Chapel, 709 Wonderland Road, London, ON, where the funeral service will be conducted on Monday, 28 October at 1:30 p.m. Private family interment of ashes at Appin Cemetery. Those wishing to make a donation in memory of Gary are asked to consider the Canadian Guide Dogs for the Blind or a donation of blood. {khMay2016}
