    LCol Hill joined the CAF in Jun 1982. Upon graduation from RMC, he completed his training as a Military Engineer in 1986 and was off to 4 Wing Cold Lake, Construction Engineering Organization as the CF-18 buildup was nearing completion. In 1991 he was posted to Air Command HQ in Winnipeg where he served as SO Quartering and SO Operations. Working in the HQ positioned him perfectly for selection in 1995 as the first Exchange Officer serving with the US Air National Guard Readiness Center at Andrews AFB, Maryland running their worldwide Civil Engineer Deployment for Training Program. Heading north after two great years he landed in Gagetown in 1997 serving at the School of Military Engineering after closing the school at CFB Chilliwack. LCol Hill headed back to Winnipeg to 1 Canadian Air Division in 2001 as the Project Manager for the Air Force Support Capability and served in this capacity until 2006. A second OUTCAN presented itself at Tyndall AFB, FL where he served with the 1st Air Force/Continental United States NORAD Region for three sunny years before returning to Canada as the COS Operational Support Engineer Group within the Canadian Operational Support Command. LCol Hill moved across the floor into his last position serving as the Canadian Special Operations Command SSO Engr from 2012 until his retirement on 1 Nov 2016. Greg and Maryse intend to remain in Ottawa and continue project managing site development and the eventual build of their dream chalet on land just north of Gracefield, PQ.

    A retirement function will be held on Wednesday 16 Nov 16, 1130 - 1500 hrs at the NDHQ RCAF Officer's Mess, 158 Gloucester St, Ottawa.
