Korean Government Sponsors 2023 Youth Peace Camp for Veterans' Families

The Youth Peace Camp is intended to build a network for future collaboration among youths of UN allied nations in the Korean War by inviting grandchildren of UN Korean War veterans. This Program is initially designed to commemorate the 60th anniversary of the outbreak of the Korean War.

Eligibility

Korean War veterans’ grandchildren who are attending universities or colleges (including graduate schools) with good academic records, no criminal records, English speaking capability, and recommended by Head of University, dean, professor, President of KWVA, and Ambassador of Korea.  

To Apply

Please download and complete the attached forms, sign your name and submit to whom this may concern (Korean Embassy, KWVA or an official volunteer who has responsibility for selecting) within the designated date. And please attach your most recent official college transcript and military records (DD214) proving your grandfather’s participation in the Korean War.

Support

  • 50% of roundtrip airfare (economy class) from your hometown airport to Korea
  • 100% of other expenses including accommodation, meals and tour costs
