The city of Seoul, Korea has announced the development of a monument in the civic center of the city to honour veterans from each of the 22 nations that supported South Korea during the 1950-53 Korean War. The plans for this remarkable monument were unveiled this week by Seoul's Mayor Oh Se-hoon.

For the last 50 years, the coastal municipality of Knokke-Heist, in Belgium, celebrates Remembrance Day with thousands of Canadian flags. Despite being separated from Canada by an ocean, the community has celebrated Remembrance Day since the end of the Second World War.
