The 2884 Royal Canadian Engineers Cadet Corps recently held an inspection and review at the Glencoe Arena.
The corps which attracts members from both western Elgin and Southwest Middlesex increased in numbers this year to 22 said Capt. Viki Broad, commanding officer.
The audience was treated to a program of marching and drill demonstrations, band music and presentation of awards.

Sgt. Lyle Crispin served for nearly twenty years in the Engineers. He started in 44 Fd Engr Sqn in Trail, BC in 1984 and transferred to the Regular Forces in 1987. He served three tours during his career - Cyprus, Kuwait, and Yugoslavia. Crispin retired in Gagetown in the early 2000s, moving back to his hometown of Rossland, BC.

Hailing from Grimsby, Ontario, Mark Hoogendoorn is a combat engineer in the Canadian Army.
MCpl. Hoogendoorn lost his leg to an improvised explosive device (IED) while serving in Afghanistan. He will be competing in powerlifting at the Invictus Games 2016!
