191 Sqn's carpenters recently made this shadowbox for the family of Cpl Stacey. Cpl Stacey died on 26 March in a vehicle accident in Comox. The Comox Chapter donated $100.00 dollars in both chapter money and member donations in order to help pay for the materials for the box. Friday marks 70 years since Canada took over responsibility for the B.C. and Yukon sections of the Alaska Highway from the U.S. Military.
The Fort St. John North Peace Museum will be celebrating the occasion Friday night with a presentation on the transfer of the highway between the two countries on April 1, 1946.
