    Après plus de 41 ans de loyaux services, le Capitaine Jean-Bruno Tremblay prendra sa retraite des Forces armées canadiennes le 9 février 2015. (Voir bio ci-jointe)

    Bruno s’est enrôlé à Chicoutimi, QC au mois d’août 1973 comme membre de la Force régulière et un mois plus tard, s’est rendu à la BFC Saint-Jean pour l’entraînement militaire de base. Il a poursuivi tous ses cours d’entraînements techniques de sa carrière à l’école du Génie Militaire à Chilliwack, CB. Il s’est dédié cœur et âme à une carrière militaire très occupée au sein des Forces armées canadiennes comme ingénieur en construction pour plus de 41 ans. Bruno a servi au Canada et à l’extérieur incluant les mutations/tours à CFS Barrington, CFS Mont-Apica (x2), CFB Montréal, CFB Saint-Jean, BFC Borden, BFC Saint-Hubert, BFC Valcartier, BFC Toronto, BFC Winnipeg, Belgrade, BFC Longue-Pointe, QGDN Ottawa ADM(IE) et finalement au DIFT comme Directeur de Projet et Officier des Services Publiques de l’armée. Durant sa carrière, il a également complété des tours en Serbie et Afghanistan.

    Bruno et son épouse Johanne continueront de résider à Stittsville, ON pour le moment. Il a accepté un emploi au Sénat du Canada comme Gestionnaire de projets, pour les Initiatives au renforcement de la Sécurité.

    En l’honneur du service de Bruno au sein des Forces armées canadiennes et afin de lui souhaiter une bonne retraite, Bruno, a fait la demande d’un simple dîner avec présentation DWD qui se tiendra au Heart and Crown, 67 rue Clarence, Ottawa dans le marché Byward à 12 :00 (midi) le vendredi 27 mars 2015.     Captain Jean-Bruno Tremblay enrolled at CFB Saint-Jean in September 1973. After a few years of technical training as Radar and Refrigeration Technician at CFSME Chilliwack, language training in Borden, a short posting to CFS Barrington N.S. then he continued on to CFS MontApica, Québec. There, he spent three full years gaining valuable experiences and career courses, culminating in 1978 with the wedding to his current spouse, Johanne Bouliane.     From Mont-Apica, Captain Tremblay was posted to CFS Masset BC, until 1981. Promoted to the rank of Sergeant he returned to Mont-Apica where he supervised the refrigeration workshop and supported the station in its various community activities. In 1983, he was posted to CFB Montreal, where he changed his career path and joined Construction Engineering as a contract supervisor. Promoted to the rank of Warrant Officer in 1984, he took over supervision of the Base Engineering Branch’s mechanical workshops until his transfer to CFB Gagetown in July 1987. @forces.gc.ca>

    After graduating from the Canadian Forces School of Military Engineering superintendent course in 1988, Captain Tremblay, having been promoted to the rank of Master Warrant Officer, served as assistant to the Utility Officer until June 1991. He then proceeded to CFB Toronto as Base Utility Officer and was promoted to the rank of Chief Warrant Officer. In Toronto, he served at several levels before being posted to CFB Valcartier in summer 1995 to perform the same duties. Transferred to 1 CAD Winnipeg in July 1998, he served as senior manager (LCMM) for all Canadian radar installations and aircraft arresting systems within the RCAF. @forces.gc.ca>

    In summer 2002, Captain Tremblay was posted to the Canadian Embassy in Belgrade, Serbia as Mission Property Management Officer and Engineering Advisor to the Department of Foreign Affairs. In July 2004, Captain Tremblay joined the 5 Area Support Group Engineer Branch in Montreal as LFC Senior Engineering CWO. Captain Tremblay deployed in Serbia and in Afghanistan where he commissioned to Captain In July 2007. He served at ASU St-Jean and Montreal until his posting to NDHQ Ottawa in Aug 2009. He has been serving in the NDHQ area as Assistant Chief of Staff for ADM IE, project director and as the CA Utility Officer under DLI to the present time. @forces.gc.ca>
