FR-1 Henry Kopeschny retires after twenty-seven (27) years of dedicated service to the Department of National Defence (DND). Henry was hired 22 June 1992 and worked with Roads and Grounds before moving onto firefighting in March of 1993.  Mr. Kopeschny received a Fire Service Exemplary Service medal 11 July 2014 and his Long Term Service Awards of 15 and 25 year for his recognition of his DND service.  On the 7^th of June 2019 Henry submitted his intent and will be retiring 15 August 2019.  Henry and his wife Barb are travelling west to British Columbia to enjoy their retirement.
