CWO Lepage was born 28 March 1951 in Quebec City, Que. He began his career in 1963 as a young Cadet with the “Fusilier Mont-Royal” in Montreal, Que. In 1965 he joined the Artillery Cadet Corps in Farnham where he was awarded the Lord Strathcona Medal for the “Best Cadet in His Last Year”. He joined the Artillery Reserves in 1968 and served with “27 Field Regiment” also in Farnham.
CWO Lepage enrolled in the Canadian Forces on 17 July 1972 as a 621 Refrigeration Technician. As an Engineer he was posted to CFS Senneterre, CFB Edmonton, CFS Moisie and CFS Lac St-Denis. As a Mechanical System Technician he was posted to CFB Cold Lake, CFB Bagotville and CFB Trenton and finally to NDHQ as Career Manager for the 640 MOCs. During his tour at CFB Bagotville and CFB Trenton he was employed as the Utilities Officer.
CWO Lepage married Danielle Kirouac in 1977 and have two daughters, Pascale and Audrey. Danielle retired from the Canadian Armed Forces 28 March 1995, following 20 years as a Supply Technician.
CWO Lepage completed a UN tour in Egypt in 1975, was awarded the Canada 125 Medal in 1992 and became a Member of the Order of Military Merit in 1994. CWO Lepage was appointed the “Canadian Military Engineer Branch Chief Warrant Officer” on 9 August 1999. From October 1999 to May 2001, he acted as the DCDS Group Chief Warrant Officer. CWO Lepage will take his commission effective 2 July 2002 and will be posted to CFRC Rouyn-Noranda as the Detachment Commander.
