Corporal Bruno Ouellette enrolled in the Canadian Armed Forces on
18 July 2008 at the Rimouski Detachment of the Canadian Forces
Recruiting Centre (CFRC Quebec).
Corporal Ouellette was posted to the Naval Fleet School (Pacific) in
Victoria, British Columbia, where he completed his basic
occupational training in naval electrical systems. In 2009, he was
transferred to Halifax, Nova Scotia, and posted to Her Majesty’s
Canadian Ship (HMCS) Ville de Québec, where he served as a Marine
Electrician Trainee and Electrician Watchkeeper, directly contributing to the ship’s operational
readiness.
Corporal Ouellette distinguished himself through his versatility and reliability, leading to multiple
international deployments. In 2009, he participated in Operation TATOU in Trinidad and Tobago,
providing technical support and maintenance. In 2011, he took part in major operations, including
Operation MOBILE and Operation SIRIUS, with postings to Sigonella and Naples, serving aboard
HMCS Ville de Québec and HMCS Charlottetown. He completed his first contract with the Canadian
Armed Forces in 2012.
After several years away from service, Corporal Ouellette returned on 26 October 2021, re-enrolling
in the Canadian Armed Forces at the Canadian Forces School of Military Engineering (CFSME) in
Oromocto, New Brunswick.
Between 2021 and 2023, he served with CFSME and the Real Property Operations Unit (Atlantic) in
Halifax, performing duties as a generator technician and WFE technician, contributing to technical
support and operational preparedness. These postings reflect his continued commitment to
professional development and willingness to serve where operational needs require.
On 24 October 2022, Corporal Bruno Ouellette was posted to Canadian Forces Base Bagotville, within
the Technical Group – Generator Section, in Alouette, Quebec. Since then, he has played a key role in
the maintenance, operation, and reliability of generator systems, ensuring uninterrupted support to
the base’s critical infrastructure. His most recent posting update, dated 21 February 2024, confirms
his sustained commitment to this unit.
Throughout his career, Corporal Ouellette participated in numerous exercises and operations in
Canada and abroad. His career is defined by technical excellence, loyalty to his colleagues and
mission, and a strong sense of duty. He leaves behind the image of a dedicated, respected service
member who takes pride in his service.
On this Day of Departure with Dignity, the Canadian Armed Forces extend their sincere thanks to
Corporal Bruno Ouellette for his dedication, professionalism, and years of service to the country and
its citizens. We wish him good health, success, and fulfillment in the endeavors ahead.
