Captain A.S. Peach, CD Captain Anthony Peach joined the Canadian Armed Forces on May 2, 2002 as a Private in the Canadian Army Reserves with 45 Field Engineer Squadron. After 23 plus years of loyal and dedicated service to Canada, he will officially retire on 29 May 2025.
Captain Peach completed many career courses and taskings at the Canadian Forces School of Military Engineer in Oromocto, New Brunswick where he gained skills and knowledge that he never hesitated to pass on to his peers and subordinates. Over the years, when not on tasking or course, he dedicated his time to 45 Field, holding different positions over the years from section member to section commander, later commissioning and completing his BEOC. As a junior officer, he took on the role of Troop Commander, eventually earning the rank of Captain and becoming the Squadron OC.
Like many Reservists, Captain Peach balanced his military and civilian lives. He attended Cape Breton University obtaining a Biology degree and later earning his Education degree to become a high school teacher.
On retirement, Captain Peach will continue teaching and doing what he loves, while residing in Reserve Mines, Nova Scotia, with his wife, Angela and dogs.
