CWO Fred Lord, CD (Ret’d)

We regret to advise of the death of Chief Warrant Officer Fred Lord, CD (Ret’d) in Florida on 11 February 2020 at age 70. Fred was a member of the Canadian Military Engineer Family for over 40 years.
Fred joined the Canadian Forces in 1969 and rose through the ranks as a Structural Technician to become a Chief Warrant Officer in the Construction Maintenance Technician trade in 1990. His career included postings in Petawawa ON, Lahr GE, Gagetown NB, Moose Jaw SK, Masset BC and Trenton ON. His career also included a UN peacekeeping tour to Cyprus.
Fred retired from the military in 1992, became a public servant, and was initially employed as the Property Officer in Kingston from 1992 to 1996. He then became the Property Officer at CFB Trenton from 1996 until he retired in 2015.
UPDATE 3 Aug 2022: The family has advised that they have scheduled a Celebration of Fred's Life. It will be held at the Royal Canadian Legion Branch 110 at 19 Quinte Street in Trenton ON on Sunday, 21 August starting at 2:00 p.m. All who knew Fred are welcome to attend.
