Colonel William "Bill" Moore, CD

Colonel William "Bill" Moore, CD has served with 1 Combat Engineer Regiment, with the Canadian Forces School of Military Engineering, with the Air Force at (then) CFB Ottawa, and with the Navy at CFB Esquimalt.

Col Moore earned a Bachelor of Engineering degree in Civil Engineering at the Royal Military College in 1980 and a Masters of Science degree in Planning at the University of British Columbia in 1990. He completed the Land Force Command and Staff Course in 1993 and the British Advanced Command and Staff Course in 1999.

Col Moore has been the Base Construction Engineering Officer at CFB Petawawa as well as at CFB Esquimalt. He has also had two posting of construction project management in National Defence Headquarters/Associate Deputy Minister (Infrastructure and Environment), first as a Project Officer and second as the Army Team Leader. Col Moore has also served as Director Land Force Readiness 6 (Realty Management) and as the Director of Land Infrastructure on the Land Staff in NDHQ.

In 2001, Col Moore was the Canadian Task Force Commander for Operation ADDITION at the United Nations Mission in Eritrea and Ethiopia (UNMEE) where he held the position of Chief of Operations, Military Observer Group. From February 2006 to June 2007, he had the position of Joint Engineer, Joint Task Force (Pacific).

From June 2007 to July 2009, Col Moore was the Base Commander of CFB/ASU Petawawa. Col Moore is now the Commander of the Operational Support Engineer Group, Canadian Operational Support Command (CANOSCOM).
