Chief Warrant Officer B.C. Michaud, CD

CWO Michaud is from Cabano, Quebec. He joined the CAF in July 1973. In 1975, CWO Michaud was posted to 4 Wing Cold Lake where he was employed as a Water, Sewage and Petroleum, Oil and Lubricant Technician. In 1978, he moved to CFB St-Jean, P.Q. where he continued to work in his trade. CWO Michaud was promoted Sergeant in fall of 1981 and moved to CFB Ottawa (Uplands) in 1982.

In 1984, CWO Michaud becomes an instructor for his trade at CFSME, CFB Chilliwack B.C. In 1987 and for the next two years he was employed as Utilities Officer at CFS Holberg, B.C. He was promoted to the rank of Warrant Officer in the fall of 1988.

In 1989, he moved to 8 Wing Trenton, Ontario, and for the next two years, he worked as sewage plant supervisor. CWO Michaud was posted to NDHQ in 1991 where he was employed as National Technical Advisor and Coordinator of National Procurement Program for his trade.

CWO Michaud returned to CFSME upon promotion to Master Warrant Officer in 1992. During the next four years, he served as the senior technician for his trade, Squadron Sergeant Major and Mechanical System Troop Commander.

From 1996 to 1998 he served as Base Utilities Officer at CTC Gagetown. He was promoted to his current rank in June 1998 and posted to 1 CEU, Moncton. During his tour with 1 CEU, he served as Senior Trade Advisor, Company Sergeant Major with Works & Design Company located within NATO HQ in Sarajevo, Bosnia and was appointed Unit Chief Warrant Officer in 1999.

CWO Michaud is married to Jacinthe Lemire. In summer 2001, he was appointed Group Chief Warrant Officer to the Canadian Forces Recruiting Group. Effective 20 June 2002, CWO Michaud will take over as the new CME CWO.
