The CMEA has been informed that the Retired Sappers Reunion Committee has canceled the 46th Annual Sappers Reunion scheduled for 24-26 April 2020 due to the Covid-19 situation.

27 Feb: Comox Chapter had its first Beaver Coffee for 2020. Last fall we voted in a budget plan that allows our chapter to gather every few months to stay updated on CMEA news and enjoy each other’s company over coffee. This has been well received by the membership and should continue well into the future. This time we supported the local economy by splurging on Big Foot Donuts, a local shop that produces some incredible specialty donuts!

While doing some "boots on the ground" research yesterday, I came across this battered headstone to a member of the Royal Canadian Regiment who passed away prior to the outbreak of the First World War.

On 15 January 2020, 5 RGC Geomatics Tp received a Canadian Joint Operations Command (CJOC) Unit Commendation for their work during OP CADENCE (G7 Summit in Charlevoix 2018).
