Captain Timothy Cook, Commanding Officer of Real Property Operations Detachment (RPOD) at Moose Jaw, has accomplished an exceptional achievement by reaching the platinum level of the FORCE test. In honour of the 80th anniversary of the D-Day landings, the Defence Attaché of Canada in France, Colonel Jason Galuga, and the Izzy Doll Initiative executive director, Lise Galuga, with the support of the Canadian Military Engineers Association, initiated the 80 Izzy Dolls for the 80th project where Izzy Doll shadow boxes are presented to French communities with strong ties to Canada, as a tangible symbol of the enduring friendship between Canada and France.

On 1 February, the funeral for Sapper Léopold Thibeault was held - he died on 10 January at the age of 105 years. The many eulogies during the funeral illustrated what an exceptional person Sapper Thibeault was - a long life filled with many loved ones.
A veteran of Normandy and Holland, he enlisted in the armed forces in 1941 and embarked for Great Britain with the Corps of Royal Canadian Engineers. He landed in Normandy on June 7th, 1944 and served until Victory in Europe…
Today at the annual Ottawa Conference Mr Luc Naud from TD-Monnex presented a cheque to the Colonel Commandant and the CMEA Executive Director.
