On 9 June 2025, Linda Newton, a retired CME officer, made a presentation to the Institution of Civil Engineers and the Institution of Royal Engineers in London. In a powerful demonstration of pride, and grassroots leadership, the Engineer Family at CFB Edmonton played a central role in organizing a series of Asian Heritage Month TGIF events across all three messes. These events brought people together and raise culture awareness of Defence Team Canadian Asian Network (DTCAN) and other Advisory Groups available for both public servants and military members.
