Originally from Laval, Quebec, CWO Martin Pagé joined the Canadian Armed Forces in July 2001 as a direct entry firefighter.
Throughout his career, CWO Pagé served in all CAF elements over nine different postings: Borden (three times), Bagotville, St-Jean-sur-Richelieu, Halifax, Greenwood, and Ottawa (twice). During these postings, he filled a variety of positions including: firefighter on crew and on ship, instructor at both the Canadian Forces Fire and CBRN Academy and the Canadian Forces Leadership and Recruit School, Chief Fire Inspector, Career Manager for Firefighters and Geomatics Technicians, and CFFM CWO/Senior Trade Advisor.
CWO Pagé has participated in a multitude of operations and exercises in many countries, primarily through his time with the RCN, including receiving his ship team diver qualification, and deploying on Standing NATO Maritime Group One around the horn of Africa. From his tour with HMCS Toronto, CWO Pagé received the NATO Article 5 Op Active Endeavour medal, and in 2013, he received the Queen Elizabeth II Diamond Jubilee Medal for his outstanding work and dedication as an instructor at the Canadian Forces Fire and CBRN Academy. Although he enjoyed every posting he had, CWO Pagé particularly appreciated his time as Career Manager and as Senior Trade Advisor where he was able to directly influence and make positive impacts on the firefighter trade as a whole.
After more than 21 years of serving with the CAF, Martin looks forward to his new career as the Compliance Review Officer within the CFFM’s office. He also looks forward to spending more time with his partner, Karyne, and his step-daughters, Anne-Sophie, Emy, and Flavie
