    Après plus de 20 ans de service loyal et dévoué aux Forces armées canadiennes et aux Génies militaires canadiens, l’Adj Nick White, CD, prendra sa retraite le 15 juillet 2021. En raison de la situation actuelle, une cérémonie de DDD sera planifiée lorsque que les restrictions en matière de pandémie le permettront. Les messages de félicitations et les anecdotes peuvent être envoyés à l’Adjum R.G.     WO Nick White was born in Stephenville Crossing, NL, on 04 June 1965. He joined the Canadian Armed Forces on 02 Feb 2001 in Corner Brook, NL.

    He completed Basic Training at CFLRS St-Jean, followed by QL3 training at CFSME on CFB Gagetown, and was then posted to CFB Cold Lake. Subsequent postings were to 17 Wing Winnipeg, to a rewarding experience with 4 ESR at CFB Gagetown, and then to CFSME. WO White’s last move was to 9 Wing Gander, where he held the positions of Ops/Prod/Util O and Contracts Supervisor. WO White’s final posting was to 91 Construction Engineers Flight Gander, filling the position of Flight Warrant Officer.

    WO White deployed to the Golan Heights and made several trips to Inuvik to install and operate Aircraft Arresting Systems. He completed the QL5 Journeyman course in 2005, the RM supervisors QL6A in 2008, the CE Supt QL6B in 2017 and the ILP in 2019.

    In September 2018, WO White was diagnosed with kidney cancer and had his right kidney removed the next month. Luckily, he is now cancer free and requires no further treatment.

    WO White is very grateful for the friends and knowledge gained, and the many adventures and memories made during his career. WO White thanks all those who mentored, guided, and helped him throughout his career.

    WO White will remain in Newfoundland to spend his retirement with his beautiful wife, Martina.
