MWO//Adjum S. Theriault, CD

    After more than 20 years of loyal and dedicated service to the Canadian Armed Forces and the Canadian Military Engineer Branch, MWO S. Theriault, CD, (00307) will retire on 20 June 2025. Anecdotes and well wishes may be sent to Adj J. Bourgault: johny.bourgault@forces.gc.ca


    MWO Serge Thériault enlisted in the Canadian Armed Forces in October 2004 in Bathurst, New Brunswick as a Heating & Plumbing Technician. Following his apprenticeship training (DP1) at the Canadian Forces School of Military Engineering (CFSME) in CFB Gagetown, he was transferred to 3 Wing Bagotville. During this assignment, MWO Thériault completed his journeyman training (DP2). In 2007, he was assigned to 14 Wing Greenwood, where he deployed on Operation Nevus and was promoted to Corporal. In 2013, he was reassigned to the 4th Engineer Support Regiment in CFB Gagetown and promoted to Master Corporal. In 2014, MWO Thériault was transferred to the Canadian Forces School of Military Engineering (CFSME) as an instructor in Plumbing and Heating, where he was promoted to Sergeant. In July 2017, he was assigned to the Canadian Armed Forces Recruitment Centre in Fredericton, New Brunswick, as a Recruiter. In 2020, he then transferred to the 1st Engineer Support Unit (1 ESU) in CFB Kingston, where he was promoted to Warrant Officer.

    After a brief tenure in CFB Kingston, he was subsequently assigned to Real Property Operations Unit Quebec (RP Ops QC) in CFB Longue-Pointe in 2021 as the Operations Officer and then transferred to RP Ops Montreal in 2022 as the Assistant Planning Officer. MWO Thériault has been serving as the Unit Sergeant Major since November 2023.

    MWO Thériault will retire from the CAF on the 20th of June 2025, after more than 20 years of dedicated service. He is married to Mrs. Isabelle Thériault, and they are the proud parents of three children: Noémie (16 years old), Ariel (14 years old), and Samuel (8 years old).
