• 1980 - Graduated with BSc in Civil Engineering from University of Saskatchewan
• 1983 - Joined CF as Direct Entry Officer (DEO)
• 1983-1984 – attended CFOCS Basic Training and CFSME Phase Training in Chilliwack BC
• 1984-1987 - Served as 1 CEU Project Officer based in Winnipeg MB. Assignments focused on Canadian Arctic including project lead for Short Range Radar infrastructure North American Air Defence Modernization Program.
• 1987-1990 – Served as troop commander and on regimental staff with 4 CER in Lahr FRG.
• 1990-1992 – attended PGT at Royal Military College of Canada graduating with a Master of Engineering Degree (Civil). Attended Canadian Land Forces Command and Staff College immediately upon graduation.
• 1992-1995 - returned to 1 CEU as a project officer including one tour as the CFS Alert Project Commander
• 1996-1997 – served on Engineer Operations staff at 1 Canadian Division HQ including assignment as chief Engr Ops in the JTF HQ for OP Assistance
• 1997-2000 – served on exchange with United States Army Engineer School as a tactics instructor as well as Chief of the school’s Tactic’s Division. Awarded US Army Meritorious Service Medal.
• 2000-2005 – served on staff Directorate Army Doctrine responsible for development of Command Support doctrine as well as several NATO and multinational standardisation and interoperability committees.
• 2005-2008 – served at Joint Force Command Brunssum as SO Combat Engineer and RC(S) engineer desk officer. Promoted to current rank on departure. • 2008- present – served as Land Force Central/Joint Task Force Central Area Engineer
• Operational deployments included United Nations Protection Force/HQ Sector Southwest (1995), NATO Implementation Force/HQ MND South (1996), Canadian Contingent Central Africa (1996), OP Athena (2003), Kandahar Airfield Transition Team (2005/2006).
• Retiring to Europe with wife Melinda and family, on contract with NATO.
