    After more than 28 years of loyal and dedicated service to the Canadian Armed Forces and the Canadian Military Engineer Branch, WO C.W. Collins, CD, will retire on 26 July 2024.     WO Chris “Yeti” Collins enlisted in the Canadian Armed Forces as a reservist Infanteer in January 1993.

    In 1998, he joined the regular force as a Combat Engineer completing his training in Gagetown, NB.

    During his time working for the Canadian Government, WO Collins served in the Royal Highland Fusiliers of Canada, 1 CER, 4 ESR, 31 CER, 32 CER, 39 CER, the RCMP, 1 ESU, and will be retiring from RP Ops Det Borden. WO Collins has deployed to Bosnia in 2000, Afghanistan in 2003 and in 2009 in addition to Jamaica, Ukraine, and Latvia. During his deployments he has managed to work alongside all the Regular Force Combat Engineer Regiments.

    WO Collins is looking forward to a new stage of his life, spending time with his spouse, and their children Maja and Erin.
