    We regret to advise of the death of Warrant Officer Dave Boudreault, CD (Ret’d) at his home in Shannon QC on 22 February 2024, at the age of 44 years.

    Dave was born in Baie-Comeau in the Côte-Nord region of Quebec and joined the Canadian Forces in 2000 as a Combat Engineer. A large part of his career has been spent with 5 Combat Engineer Regiment. 
    In addition to his training in Combat Engineering, Dave completed various courses including: the Advanced Mountain Course, the Helicopter Insertion Master Course, the Elementary Parachuting Course and the Arctic Advisor Course.  With these qualifications, he was posted to the Canadian Army Advanced Training Centre where he was able to pass on his knowledge by teaching military parachuting, mountain operations, and advanced courses in winter warfare. 

    Dave participated in Operation ATHENA in Afghanistan In 2007-2008 and returned as a Section Commander during the 2010-2011 Rotation.  Dave also participated in Operation UNIFY in 2016 as a Troop Warrant Officer.. Dave retired from the Canadian Forces in 2021 after more than twenty years of service.

    Those who have shared a good time with Dave are welcome to share his memory with the family on  6 March 2024 at Saint-Charles Funeral Center {1420 Bd Wilfrid-Hamel, Quebec, QC}  Condolences: 1:00-4:00 PM Ceremony: 4:00-4:45 PM and Reception: 4:45-6:45 PM.   In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Centre de prévention du suicide de Québec and/or Deuil-Jeunesse.
