We regret to advise of the death of Warrant Officer Tom Hoday, CD (Ret'd) on 13 April 2014.

Tom was a Fire Prevention Officer at CFB Borden Fire and Emergency Services and was a former Canadian Armed Forces Firefighter. He had a total of 38 years of service to the CAF and DND. Tom enrolled in the Canadian Forces in 1975 with the 8th Canadian Hussars (Princess Louise's) and obtained an occupation transfer to Firefighter in 1979. He retired in 2005 at the Canadian Forces Fire Academy as a Warrant Officer and joined the Federal Public Service in 2006 with the CFB Borden Fire Department Borden (now RP Ops Det Borden).

There will be a Celebration of Life at the CFB Borden Juno Beach Mess (former Rod and Gun), 201 Falaise Rd (Building T-147), on Saturday 3 May 2014 from 13:00 - 16:00 hours. As per Tom's wishes, stories will be shared over a beverage and egg salad sandwiches.
