Students Receive 2022 CMEA Bursaries

LCol Sylvan Neveu, President of the NCR Chapter, presented the Col Edward Churchill OC, CD CMEA Bursary of $2,000 to Audrey Quiron, daughter of LCol Eric Quiron, (Ret'd). Audrey is studying Life Sciences at Queen's University.

Damon Mader, has been awarded the Sergeant Ivan Lethbridge Stark Bursary. Damon is working on his Electronic Technician and Automation & Robotics Technician certificates over the next couple of years at the University of the Fraser Valley in Chilliwack. Damon is the son of MWO Chris Mader, 39 CER. Presenting the certificate and cheque is John MacPherson, CMEA Registrar/CMEA Chilliwack.

The CMEA awarded nine memorial bursaries for $2000 each this year. These are the winners:

  • Lauren Gale: Lauren, daughter of LCol Joe Gale, was awarded the Corporal James Hendry GC Bursary.  Lauren is attending school at Algonquin College in Ottawa.  Presenting the certificate an cheque is LCol Sylvain Neveu, President of the NCR Chapter (Photo 1)
  • Audrey Quiron: LCol Sylvan Neveu, President of the NCR Chapter, presented the Col Edward Churchill OC, CD CMEA Bursary of $2,000 to Audrey Quiron, daughter of LCol Eric Quiron, (Ret'd). Audrey is studying Life Sciences at Queen's University. (Photo 2)
  • Andrew Jarvis: Andrew Jarvis, was awarded the Colonel Richard Clement Moody Bursary. Kevin is working on a Master of Arts degree in Counselling Psychology at Yorkville University. He intends to work as a therapist for veterans and serving members. Presenting the certificate and cheque is John MacPherson, CMEA Registrar/CMEA Chilliwack. (Photo 3)
