We regret to advise of the death of Sapper J. Gordon Grant (Ret'd), peacefully on 20 March 2023 at the age of 91, at the Ottawa Hospital.

Born in Ottawa ON, Gordon was a member of his hometown Militia unit 3^rd Field Squadron, Royal Canadian Engineers from 1949 -1952. He then joined the Royal Canadian Air Force and served as a Munitions and Weapons Technician from 1952 to 1957. During this time he was posted to Germany for two years and also served in Whitehorse NWT. 

Gordon joined the RCMP in 1957 and served until 1985 when he retired as a Staff Sergeant in 1985. Upon retirement, he worked in the security services department at the Bank of Canada Ottawa for five years.

Family and friends are invited to visit at Beechwood Funeral, Cemetery and Cremation Services {280 Beechwood Avenue, Ottawa } on Monday, 27 March 2023 from 7-9:00 p.m. and on Tuesday, 28 March from 12 noon until the time of service in Beechwood's Sacred Space at 1:00 p.m. Interment to follow in the RCMP National Memorial Cemetery, located at Beechwood Cemetery. Donations to a charity of your choice would be appreciated. Messages of condolence may be left at Beechwood Funeral, Cemetery and Cremation Services.
