We regret to advise of the death of Sapper Gilbert Thomas Hillier (Ret'd) at the Health Science Centre in Conception Harbour NL on Monday 28 April 2014 at the age of 83 years.

Gilbert served in the Royal Canadian Engineers from 1952 until 1955 including a tour in Korea with 4 Field Squadron 1953 - 54.

Gilbert is resting at Conway's Funeral Home, Main Highway, Conception Harbour with visitation on Saturday 3 May from 2 until 9 PM and Sunday 4 May from 2 until 9 PM. A Funeral Mass will take place on Monday 5 May at 10:30 AM from Immaculate Conception Church, Colliers with cremation to follow.  Interment to take place at a later date at the Anglican Cemetery, Lamaline.  Flowers will be gratefully accepted or donations in Gilbert's memory can be made to Daffodil Place.
