Sgt Michel Miron joined the Construction Engineers in July 2006. After completing his basic training at CFLRS, CFB St-Jean, Québec, he was posted to CFB Gagetown, New Brunswick,
After completing his DP1 course in June 2007, he was posted to 2 ASU at CFB Petawawa, Ontario. Sgt Miron completed his DP2 Training in March 2010 and a year later, was posted to 191 CEF at 19 Wing Comox, British Columbia. Sgt Miron deployed to Afghanistan on a TAV to OP ATTENTION in January 2012. Shortly after returning from his deployment, Sgt Miron was posted to CFB Valcartier, Quebec, for second language training on a year-long course. After successfully completing his French course in May 2013, he was posted to 5 RGC in Valcartier, Quebec. Sgt Miron completed his DP3A and PLQ while at CFB Valcartier.
Sgt Miron deployed to OSH-SWA, Kuwait, in May 2016 to support OP IMPACT. While deployed, he agreed to a posting and returned from tour to CFB Trenton in September 2016. In October 2017, Sgt Miron deployed on a TAV to TF EL GORAH, OP CALUMET in Egypt. In March 2019, he completed his DP3B at CFSME and three months later, deployed again, this time to JTF - OP IMPACT, Det Erbil. Upon returning from Iraq, Sgt Miron was employed as the Flt WO of 81 CEF until his release.
Sgt Miron has been happily married to his wife, Amy Kathleen Miron, since 2008. Together, they have two wonderful children, Anson (7) and Leyla (6), and hope to add another member to the family, a puppy, soon enough. Sgt Miron intends to stay in the Quinte West area and will continue building his electrical contracting business and focusing on more family time.
