Marsh's first posting was to 3 Field Squadron in Vedder Crossing and he was to eventually spend all but eight years of his career in Chilliwack either in the Squadron/Regiment or in Base Ops. Other postings included 1 Field Squadron (2 Combat Engineer Regiment) in Petawawa ON, 2 Field Squadron in Gagetown NB, and 4 Field Squadron (4CER) in Germany. Marsh was generally in the Unit Diving Section in these units. He had received his initial Combat Diving qualification on the first Combat Diver Land Force course in 1966 and had participated in the Combat Diver Trial in 1 Field Squadron. March's last posting was with 1 CER from where he retired after a tour as the curator of the Canadian Military Engineers Museum.
Funeral arrangements will be advised when known.
