We regret to advise of the death of Sergeant Joseph Eugene Bernard “Bernie” Lauzon, CD (Ret’d) on 6 June 2021 at St Patrick's Home in Ottawa, at age 74.

Bernie was born in Cornwall ON and enlisted in the Canadian Forces in 1964. He trained as a Field Engineer at the Royal Canadian School of Military Engineering in Chilliwack BC and served with 3 Field Squadron until 1966 when he transferred to the Army Survey Establishment.

Bernie served in Mapping and Charting Establishment as a field surveyor, and stereocomparator and stereoplotter operator until 1977 when he retired from the Canadian Forces at the rank of Sergeant. He then pursued a career as a computer program analyst in MCE with the Public Service.
