We regret to advise of the death of Sergeant Gary Stamp, CD (Ret'd) on Monday, 10 June  2019 in Goose Bay, NL.

Gary enlisted in the Canadian Forces in 1973 and served a 25 year career in the Canadian Forces that included a peacekeeping tour in the Golan Heights. During his career he re-mustered to a Firefighter. He was a Fire Inspector and a Platoon Chief and retired n 1998 at the rank of Sergeant. After retiring Gary joined Serco Canada Ltd to work as a firefighter at 5 Wing in Canadian Forces Base Goose Bay, NL. He was a role model with a personality as big as life with a combination of knowledge and humor.

Gary was taken and delivered to the airline by his Platoon and his Fire Hall family provided a water-canon salute. Cremation has taken place. Visitation will be at Caul’s Funeral Home, LeMarchant Road, St. John's NL  on Friday, 14 June  from 11 am – 9 pm. Funeral Mass will take place on Saturday, 15 June at 9:30 a.m. from the Basilica of St. John the Baptist.
