After more than 12 years of loyal and dedicated service to the Canadian Armed Forces and the Canadian Military Engineers, Sgt Elrik Gagné-Lévesque, CD, retired on 02 November 2021. Congratulatory messages and best wishes can be sent to MCpl A.L.K Drouin at Annick.Drouin@forces.gc.ca.
Sgt Gagné-Lévesque was born in Chicoutimi, QC, in 1990. On 19 March 2008, he joined the Reserves with the Régiment du Saguenay. He became a Regular Force member as a Construction technician on 03 February 2009. After the completion of DP1, he was posted to CFB Bagotville in 2010. He completed DP2 in 2012 and DP3A in 2016.
In 2015, he deployed on OP IMPACT, Roto 1, for eight months. Upon his return, he was promoted to MCpl and posted to CFLRS during the 2016 APS.
He deployed on OP REASSURANCE, Roto 10, in 2018. Following his return, he was promoted to his current rank and posted to RPOU(Q) Det Valcartier in 2019, where he was employed as the Deputy Plans O.
Sgt Gagné-Lévesque is leaving the military to work as the Carpenter Shop Supervisor for RPOU(Q) Det Valcartier. He will stay in St-Raymond, QC, with his wife, Andrée-Anne, and their twins, Vincent and Nathan.
