Sgt David Noseworthy, CD

    SGT DAVID NOSEWORTHY WILL RETIRE FROM THE CF ON 12 APRIL 2011 AFTER 29 PLUS YEARS OF LOYAL AND DEDICATED SERVICE TO BOTH CANADA, THE CANADIAN FORCES AND THE ENGINEER BRANCH

    SGT NOSEWORTHY JOINED THE CANADIAN FORCES 6 AUGUST 1981. AFTER BASIC TRAINING AT CFB CORNWALLIS, NS, HE WAS POSTED TO CFB CHILLIWACK, BC WHERE HE COMPLETED HIS TQ3'S FOR COMBAT ENGINEER. HE WAS THEN POSTED TO 22 FIELD SQN, CFB GAGETOWN, NB. WHILE SERVING AT 22 FIELD, HE COMPLETED HIS TQ5A COURSE AND WAS PROMOTED TO CORPORAL.

    ON THE 30 MAY 1986 HE WAS POSTED TO CFB LAHR. AFTER SERVING 4 MEMORABLE YEARS WITH 4 CER IN LAHR, HE WAS ONCE AGAIN POSTED TO CFB PETAWAWA, ONT WITH 2CER. CPL NOSEWORTHY REMAINED IN PETAWAWA FOR 7 YEARS. DURING THIS TIME, HE SERVED WITH THE UN ON CDN CONT UNISOM INFANTRY BTN, BELET HUEN, SOMIALIA FROM 29 DECEMBER 1992-29 JUNE 1993 AND CANADIAN LOGISTIC BTN, PRIMOSTEN, CROATIA FROM 15 AUGUST 1994 - 15 FEBRUARY 1985 AND ALSO ASSISTED WITH THE MANITOBA FLOODS.

    ON THE 15 AUGUST 1997, CPL NOSEWORTHY WAS POSTED TO ABS TRAINING DET. ALDERSHOT, NS, WHERE HE WAS PROMOTED TO MCPL. ON THE 2 JULY 2001, MCPL NOSEWORTHY WAS ONCE AGAIN POSTED TO CFB GAGETOWN, NB WITH 4ESR. DURING THE NEXT 4 YEARS, HE COMPLETED HIS QL6A AND WAS PROMOTED TO SGT. SOME OF THE REGIMENTAL POSITIONS HE FILLED WERE SECTION 2IC, SECTION COMMANDER AND REGIMENTAL TRAINING NCO. HE WAS ALSO ATTACHED POSTED TO CFSME WHERE HE INSTRUCTED ON CRANE AND HEAVY EQUIP COURSES.

    JUNE 2005 HE WAS POSTED TO 3 ASG ENGINEER BRANCH AS THE RANGE AND TRAINING AREA 2 IC. SGT NOSEWORTHY REMAINED IN THIS POSITION UNTIL HE UNDERWENT SURGERY IN JULY 2008. UPON HIS RETURN TO WORK, HE TOOK ON AN ADMINISTRATIVE ROLE WITH THE RTA WHERE HE WILL REMAIN UNTIL HIS RETIREMENT.

    SGT DAVID NOSEWORTHY HAS BEEN MARRIED 27 PLUS YEARS TO MCPL ROXANNE NOSEWORTHY, A SUPPLY TECH AT CFB GAGETOWN. THEY HAVE TWO BEAUTIFUL DAUGHTERS, PTE JAYME LEIGH DENNIS RMS CLERK MARRIED TO PTE KIRK DENNIS AVN TEC RESIDING AT CFB TRENTON, NICOLE NOSEWORTHY COMMON LAW SPOUSE OF LS JEREMY HISCOCK MARINE ENGINEER SERVING ON THE HMCS ATHABASKAN, CFB HALIFAX. THEY ALSO HAVE THREE ADORABLE GRANDSONS, KEENAN CHRISTOPHER DENNIS, NATHAN DAVID HISCOCK & JACOB HISCOCK.
