Originally from Campbellton, New Brunswick, Sgt Lagacé joined the Canadian Armed Forces in December 2007, as a direct entry Electrical Generating Systems Technician.

In August 2009 after completing BMQ, they were employed at the CE electrical shop in Gagetown, NB, where they received on job training whilst awaiting the next EGS Tech Apprentice (DP1) career course.

On graduating the EGS DP1 course in March 2011, member was posted to CFB Gagetown’s CE mechanical shop. As the sole EGS tech, they were given a significant role responsible for the maintenance of base auxiliary power systems. During his time in Gagetown, they maintained Garrison auxiliary power systems, assisted CFSME with various training, and supported 4 ESR training exercises with power plant operation.

In May 2012, Sgt Lagacé was posted to 5 RGC, Valcartier, Québec. Being an exquisite welder within the trade, they were requested and take part in many construction projects for the regiment. Amidst a quick year with 5 RGC, member was promoted to Cpl and posted to fill other EGS requirements.

Sgt Lagacé was then posted to 86 ASU, CFB Trenton, Ontario, in March 2013. Their technical capabilities excelled during this time, having attended specialty courses with Cummins and Caterpillar power generation. As a hard working member of 86 ASU, they installed auxiliary backup power units and airfield arresting systems for CF bases across Canada. Most notably, Sgt Lagacé was lead technician twice for CFS Alert’s power plant overhauling. Finishing their time with 86 ASU, member deployed on OP Reassurance, Romania, ROTO 0, where they supported the American Air Force Power Pro's with airfield utilities.

In September 2015 Sgt Lagacé was posted to CFB Winnipeg, where they deployed on both Op Impact Kuwait, and Iraq, multiple times supporting operations as the camp engineer. Sgt Lagacé was also deployed on Op Northern Denial, Inuvik, in response to northern Russia’s deployment of long-range bombers. Sgt Lagacé complete their EGS Tech Journeyman DP2 course during this time, in addition to receiving their promotion to MCpl.

Sgt Lagacé was posted to CFSME as an EGS instructor in 2019, where they instructed many EGS career courses. Member was later promoted to Sgt and employed in the standards cell. In April 2022, Sgt Lagacé retired from the Canadian Armed Forces accepting a permanent job as a civilian EGS instructor at CFSME.

Originaire de Campbellton, au Nouveau-Brunswick, le Sgt Lagacé s'est enrôlé dans les Forces canadiennes en décembre 2007, à titre de technicien en groupe électrogène.

En août 2009, après avoir complété le QMB, il a été employé à l'atelier d'électricité de la base de Gagetown, au Nouveau- Brunswick, où il a reçu une formation sur l'emploi en attendant le prochain cours de carrière d’apprenti technicien en groupe électrogène (PP1).

Après avoir obtenu son diplôme du cours d’apprentie technicien en groupe électrogène en mars 2011, il a été affecté à l'atelier mécanique de la BFC Gagetown. En tant que seul technicien en GE, il s'est vu confier un rôle important dans l'entretien des systèmes d'alimentation auxiliaires de la base. Pendant son séjour à Gagetown, il a entretenu les systèmes d'alimentation auxiliaires de la garnison, a aidé l'EGMFC à donner diverses formations et a soutenu le 4 RAG durant des exercices d'entraînement avec l'exploitation de la centrale électrique.

En mai 2012, le Sgt Lagacé a été affecté au 5 RGC, à Valcartier, au Québec. Étant un excellent soudeur dans le métier, il a été sollicité et a participé à de nombreux projets de construction pour le régiment. Rapidement au cours de l’année avec le 5 RGC, il a été promu au grade de caporal et affecté pour répondre à d'autres besoins de technicien en groupe électrogène.

En mars 2013, le Sgt Lagacé a ensuite été affecté à la 86e SUA de la BFC Trenton, en Ontario. Ses capacités techniques ont été excellentes durant cette période, ayant suivi des cours de perfectionnement avec les groupes électrogènes Cummins et Caterpillar. En tant que membre assidu de la 86 SUA, il a installé des unités de groupe électrogène de secours et des systèmes d'arrêt d'aérodrome pour les bases des FC partout au Canada. Plus particulièrement, le Sgt Lagacé a été technicien principal à deux reprises pour la révision de la centrale électrique de la SFC Alert. À la fin de son séjour au sein de la 86 SUA, il a été déployé sur l'OP Réassurance, en Roumanie, ROTO 0, où il a appuyé les Power Pro de la Force aérienne Américaine pour les services publics des terrains d'aviation.

En septembre 2015, le Sgt Lagacé a été affecté à la BFC Winnipeg, où il a été déployé à la fois dans le cadre de l'Op Impact au Koweït, et en Irak, à de multiples reprises en soutien aux opérations en tant qu'ingénieur de camp. Il a également été déployé dans le cadre de l'Op Northern Denial, à Inuvik, en réponse au déploiement de bombardiers à longue portée Russe dans le Nord. Le Sgt Lagacé a terminé son cours de compagnon en groupe électrogène (PP2) pendant cette période, en plus de recevoir sa promotion au grade de Cplc.

Le Sgt Lagacé a été affecté à l'EGMFC en tant qu'instructeur en groupe électrogène en 2019, où il a enseigné à de nombreux cours de carrière GE. Il a ensuite été promu au grade de Sgt et employé dans la cellule des normes. En avril 2022, il a pris sa retraite des Forces armées canadiennes en acceptant un poste permanent d'instructeur civil pour la cellule du GE à l'EGMFC.
