Sgt A.E. Tremblay, CD

    After 20 years of loyal and dedicated service to the Canadian Armed Forces and the Canadian Military Engineers, Sgt Allan Tremblay, CD will retire on 24 September 2021.     Sgt Tremblay was born in Chicoutimi, QC, in 1977. He joined the Canadian Armed Forces on 25 Sep 2001 as a PH technician. After completing QL3, he was posted to CFB Bagotville in 2002.

    In 2007, he was posted to 5 RGC Valcartier and deployed to Afghanistan on OP ATHENA for seven months in 2009. In 2012, after promotion to the rank of MCpl, he returned to Afghanistan, this time Kabul, as a member of OP ATTENTION where he was employed in a mentoring role.

    In 2013, upon returning from his second deployment, he was posted to 4 ACSSS, Cold Lake. He was promoted to Sgt in 2017 and then posted back to RPO(Q) Valcartier in 2018, where he is still stationed today. Sgt Tremblay plans to return home to Chicoutimi, QC, following his retirement from the CAF. At his request, no formal retirement function will take place.
