    We regret to advise of the death of Norman Ralph Anderson on 16 February 2006 at home in Lambton Shores, ON at the age of 84 years.

    Norm was born in Ochre River, MB.  He was a veteran of the Second World War and was mining in Malartic, QC when he joined the Royal Canadian Engineers in Noranda, QC in 1941.  He fought through France, Belgium, Holland, and Germany and was demobilized in 1945.

    After the war, Norm returned to mining for a while but in 1950 moved to Sarnia, ON and started working in the insulation business. He eventually purchased his own company, Commercial and Industrial Insulation, which he owned from 1976 until 1982.  In 1958, he developed the Forest Golf and Country Hotel in Lambton Shores which he owned until 1989 when he retired.  He soon came out of retirement and with his son purchased and developed the Bonny Doon Golf & Country Club near Sarnia.  Norm was a member of Royal Canadian Legion Branch #176 in Forest, ON, and a Lifetime Member of the Forest Curling Club.

    Visitation will be on 19 February at the Ronn E. Dodge Funeral Home in Lambton Shores.  There will be a Legion Parade that evening at 6: 45 PM.  The funeral service will be held 20 February at 11: 00 AM at Forest United Church and interment in the Beechwood Cemetery in Forest will follow.  Donations may be made to the Sarnia-Lambton Community Care Access Centre.  {dcNov17gd} [zsd, zsp]
