MWO William (aka Bill) Stephens is from Ottawa in Ontario. Born in 1980 into a military and government family, he was raised to honour and respect what the Canadian Armed Forces accomplished and stood for.
Bill initially enrolled in the military i school requirements. After bouncing around between reserve contracts
and other employment opportunities, Bill completed a component transfer as well as an occupational transfer to RM Tech 641 in October of 2001In 2002 his training had been completed and was posted to 4 Wing Cold Lake. Subsequent postings were CFSPDB in Edmonton, 2004; RP Ops, CFB Kingston, 2007 to 2010; 191 CEF, 19 Wing Comox, 2011 to 2014; 5 RGC, CFB Valcartier, 2014 to 2020; 86 ASU, 8 Wing Trenton, 2020 to 2022; and RP Ops, Trenton det, 2022 to 2024, completing his career as a SSM of the detachment. During this time, Bill was deployed multiple time on northern sovereignty operations, OP Nijmegen, OP ATHENA in Afghanistan, OP REASSURANCE in Latvia, and OP IMPACT in Kuwait.
Bill intends to live a quiet life near the water where he can spend time with his family, fishing, golfing, hunting, and doing whatever his “heart desires”. As a fifth generation miliary service member, Bill is looking forward to staying home and being left alone.
