After more than 29 years of loyal and dedicated service to the Canadian Armed Forces and the Canadian Military Engineers, MWO Lisa Brown, CD, will retire on 06 Sep 2021. Lisa was born in Pictou, Nova Scotia. She joined the Canadian Armed Forces in November of 1991 as an infanteer with the 1 Nova Scotia Highlanders. In 1997 she remustered to Construction Technician 648 and joined 144 Airfield Engineering Flight in Pictou. She completed her QL 3 in August of 1998. WO Brown transferred to the Regular Force in February of 2001 and was posted to Dundurn Saskatchewan where she was employed as a shop carpenter and shop IC. After spending 4 years in Dundurn she was posted to 4 ESR in July of 2005 where she completed a tour to Afghanistan in 2007. During her 4 years at the Regiment she was promoted to MCpl in 2006 and then Sgt in 2009. She was posted to CFSME in 2009 as an instructor in the Construction Cell and was also in charge of the Drafting & Surveying (D&S) section. In 2012 she was employed as Construction Cell Standards Rep. In 2013 she was promoted to WO and filled the role of 2 IC standards. 2014 she moved to Construction Engineer Management Squadron (CEMS) as Course NCO for the Construction Engineer Superintendent Course. In 2015 she was posted to 2 Wing Bagotville as a member of the Expeditionary Readiness Center (ERC) as the WO for the Construction Engineer Cell. In 2017 MWO Brown attended the French language training in Bagotville until her posting to CFSME in May of 2017, where she was employed as CEMS Ops WO. August 2017 she was promoted to MWO and posted to 1 Canadian Air Division under A4 CE, working in Doctrine and Training. Her last posting was in July 2018, to RP OPs Atlantic at Det Gagetown as SSM. Lisa would like to thank all those she was blessed to work with over her 29 + years career.

MWO Brown is married to (retired MWO) Chris Brown and has 2 sons, Blair aged 25 and Devon aged 18.
