MWO/Adjum J.D.J. McCreight, CD

    After more than 30 years of loyal and dedicated service to the Canadian Armed Forces and the Canadian Military Engineer Branch, MWO J.D.J. McCreight, CD, (00149) will retire on 26 March 2025.     MWO Jamie McCreight joined the Canadian Armed Forces on the 28th of October 1994 at the age of 17 in Timmins, Ontario. He was a member of the Algonquin Regiment from 1994 until 2002 when he decided to transfer to the Royal Canadian Air Force as a 651 Crash Rescue Fire Fighter.

    On completion of QL3 in May 2003, MWO McCreight was posted to CFB Trenton where he learned the trade of firefighting; he stayed until July 2005 when he was posted to Halifax to sail with the Navy aboard HMCS Iroquois, where he participated on Operation Active Endeavor (NATO) in 2006. After three years on ship, MWO McCreight was posted to CFB Shearwater to protect the East Coast Navy`s Helicopter Wing as a newly promoted Master Corporal.

     

    In Feb 2009 MWO McCreight was posted to the Canadian Forces Fire and CBRN Academy in Borden where he was a Fire Service Instructor, and upon his promotion to Sergeant in 2013, became Course Director for multiple Apprentice, Journeyman, and Supervisor courses.

    In 2015, he was headed to 22 Wing North Bay where he was tasked as the 22 Wing Fire Chief until July 2018. Promoted to the rank of WO, he was on the move again, this time a walk across the street to his new position of Support Platoon Supervisor for the CAF Transition Centre detachment in North Bay.
       
    After two years of assisting Ill and Injured CAF members within the Transition Centre, MWO McCreight received great news that he was posted back to the Fire Training Squadron at CFFCA in Borden to finish off his career in the CAF. MWO McCreight was the FTS Sergeant Major for two years and prior to his release, he took over the Training area as the FFTA Ops MWO and Range Warden.

    MWO Jamie McCreight and his wife Teresa are planning on moving back to Northern Ontario where they will enjoy time with family and friends.
