MWO/Adjum Dennis Cadeau, CD

    MWO D.T. "Dennis" Cadeau, CD, will retire from the Canadian Armed Forces on the 20 July 2018 with almost 39 years of loyal and dedicated service to the CAF and the Canadian Military Engineers. There will be a small function held at a later date.  If you have any congratulatory messages, anecdotes, and farewell messages you can send them to MWO Hugues Poire via email:hugues.Poire2@forces.gc.ca.

    Tours and operations include The Ice storms, Red river floods, Bosnia, Croatia and SWA.

    MWO Cadeau joined the Army in November 13th 1979. After completing a Recruit Trg in Cornwallis, he was off to CFB Chilliwack, 1CER, for 3 months OJT prior to his TQ3. His first posting was to 5RGC Valcartier, were he was lucky enough to get a jump course, EOD crse and some heavy equipment qualifications. In Jul 1984 he was posted to CFB Lahr Germany employed in Heavy Ept Troop for a 5 year stint.

    In 1989 he was posted to the” Rock”, RSS staff at 56 Field Engineer Sqn St John’s NFLD as the transport NCO.

    In 1992 he and his wife Debbie were posted to 4 ESR CFB Gagetown. From 1996-2003 MWO Cadeau bounced back and forth from 2 CER to Gagetown.

    In 2004 MWO Cadeau was posted to CFB Borden, Roads and Grounds Supervisor. Upon promotion to MWO he was posted to Ottawa were he has taken up positions in G1, DLPM, and finishing his time with Army HQ.

    MWO Cadeau’s last day of work in the CAF will be Jul 20 2018. MWO Cadeau, his wife Debbie and daughter Sarah will be staying in the Stittsville area where Dennis will be taking some time off and working on his golf game before he pursues his next step in his career. Now that his Son Kyle has started his career in the CAF, Dennis can step down and pass the reins over.
