    We regret to advise of the death of Master Warrant Officer Trapper Edward Simmonds, CD (Ret’d) of North Kingston, Kings County, NS, unexpectedly, on Tuesday, 17 May 2022 at age 60 in Valley Regional Hospital in Kentville.  

    Trapper joined the Canadian Armed Forces in 1982 as an Infantryman with the 2nd Battalion of the Royal Canadian Regiment and retired 32 years later as a Firefighter MWO with the Royal Canadian Air Force. During his career Trapper had many deployments including Norway, Cyprus, RIMPAC (the Rim of the Pacific Exercise) , Bosnia, Dubai and Kabul in Afghanistan.

    Cremation has taken place. A celebration of Trapper’s life will take place at a later time.  Memorial Donations may be made to the Heart & Stroke Foundation of Nova Scotia, Muscular Dystrophy or the Firefighter Burn Fund.  Online condolences can be sent to the funeral home.
