After more than 12 years of loyal and dedicated service to the Canadian Armed Forces and the Canadian Military Engineer Branch, MCpl J.T. Parsons, will retire on 28 February 2025. A DwD reception will be held on 21 February from 1500 - 1800 hrs at The Bunker (Pizza Delight) in Oromocto, NB. MCpl Jarret Parsons joined the CAF on 16 Aug 2012 as a Combat Engineer. He was posted to 4 ESR on 28 June 2013. He spent the majority of his time there in EOD as first a driver, then a Det 2IC and then a Det Comd.
He completed the IEDD Assistant course Jan-Feb 2017, followed by the IEDD Operator course Mar-May 2019, and the Conventional Munitions Disposal Advanced course at the US Naval EOD School Jan-Jul 2021.
Following his successful completion of the PLQ course Nov 2019 - Feb 2020, he was posted to CFSME as a CMD instructor in EOD Sqn on 17 July 2023. On 25 June 2024 he was moved to IEDD cell to be an instructor.

He will be retiring in Lincoln, NB with his spouse Caroline Parsons where he plans to go to trade School.
