MCpl/Cplc J.R. Légaré, CD

    After more than 16 years of loyal and dedicated service to the Canadian Armed Forces and the Canadian Military Engineers, MCpl Jonathan Légaré, CD will retire on 15 August 2023.     Jonathan enlisted as an Infanteer in Rouyn-Noranda, Québec in July 2007. Following DP1 Infantry, Jonathan was posted to 1R22R at CFB Valcartier. While in Valcartier, he continued to refine his skills with additional training, and he deployed to Afghanistan in 2009.

    In 2013, MCpl Légaré voluntarily transferred occupations to become an ED Tech and was posted to CFB Bagotville to commence his new trade. By 2018, Jonathan had completed QL5 and wasposted to CFB Comox to be employed with 191 CEF as the ED Section 2I/C. In Comox, he completed numerous projects while developing apprentices.

    Following his release from the CAF, Jonathan, his spouse Sarah, and their three children, Elliot,ophia, and Juliette, will return to his hometown in the Abitibi region of Quebec.
