    MCpl Claude St-Denis will retire from the CAF on 28 Feb (his birthday!) 2021 after 27 plus years of loyal and dedicated service to Canada, the Canadian Armed Forces and the Royal Canadian Engineers. At Claude’s request, close friends and colleagues are welcome to attend his Depart with Dignity function on 25 February 2021 at 1300 hrs at CE.     Master Corporal St. Denis was born on 28 February 1960 in Espanola, ON. On 25 August 1983, he joined the Canadian Forces in Sudbury, ON as an Electrical Generating Systems Technician. MCpl St. Denis completed his basic training in Cornwallis, NS, in October 1983. He was then attached-posted to CFS Barrington, NS, to await his Qualification Level 3 course. In January 1984, he attended the course at CFSME in Chilliwack, BC. Upon graduation, he was posted to CFS Falconbridge in Sudbury, ON, and then to CFB North Bay upon closure of CFS Falconbridge in February 1986. In June 1986, he attended his Qualification Level 5 course at CFSME in Chilliwack, BC. MCpl St. Denis completed a tour at CFS Alert from February to August 1988.

    In the fall of 1990, he released from the Canadian Armed Forces and moved to the private sector, joining Nasittuq to monitor Distant Early Warning (DEW) Line power plants via satellite.

    He joined the Air Force Reserves in May 1999 at 22 Wing CFB North Bay and continues to serve there in Construction Engineering as an Electrical Generating Systems technician. In the spring of 2004, he completed his PLQ course at CFB Borden and attained the rank of Master Corporal. In February 2011, while still working for the CAF, he became a full-time employee for NORAD as a Graphic Panel Operator.

    Claude and his wife, Sherry, have two children, Melissa and Jonathan, to whom he devotes much of his time and car
