MCpl/Cplc A.J.M. Wright

After eight years of faithful service to Her Majesty the Queen and to Canada, MCpl Ayden Wright will release from the CAF on 20 Aug 2021. Born in Toronto and raised in Oakville, MCpl Wright enrolled in the CAF on 16 Jan 2013. He immediately transferred to CFLRS St-Jean, where he completed BMQ. After BMQ, he was sent to CFSME, where he completed Combat Engineer DP1 training by December 2013. He then completed BMQ-L before being posted to 4 ESR on 14 Feb 2014. After spending a year as a Section member of 42 Sqn 1 Tp, he transferred to 42 SQ in Aug 2014. While there, MCpl Wright represented Canada during the fourday march in Nijmegen, Netherlands, in Jul 2015.
In Jan 2016, MCpl Wright was again transferred within the Regiment to fill the role of EROC operator in 43 Sqn. He remained in EROC for a number of years where he again represented Canada by travelling to Israel to take part in a training program in 2017. In December 2018, he was then promoted to the rank of MCpl. Soon after his promotion, MCpl Wright deployed to Iraq from Aug 2019 to Feb 2020. After the deployment, he was again transferred within the Regiment to his current position of Section 2I/C in 48 SQMS.
Shortly after this last transfer, Ayden decided to release from the CAF and to remain in Fredericton, New Brunswick with his wife, Hailey. He plans to pursue a degree in engineering at UNB. On behalf of the CAF and 4 ESR, we wish you the best of luck in all your future endeavors.
