Bob was born in Montreal QC, the eldest of seven children and son of Sapper Gordon Archibald Vatcher. As a young man, Bob joined the Canadian Armed Forces with the Royal Canadian Engineers. On Bob’s retirement, the family settled in Lethbridge AB where he pursued a second career. Bob worked for many years at the Lethbridge water plant as a Water Treatment Operator. He was also a private Water Consultant for a while and worked throughout the province at locations that included many indigenous communities. Later, he joined Alberta Environment as a Water and Wastewater Technician where he oversaw the well-being of many water treatment plants across Southern Alberta.
As was Bob's request, no formal funeral service will take place. In memory of Bob, please consider donating to Water for People to help provide clean drinking water to others. Online condolences can be sent to the funeral home.
