MCpl Dwayne Rose, CD

    On 23 Sept 2008, MCpl Dwayne Rose will be retiring from the Canadian Forces after 21 plus years of Loyal and Dedicated Service to Queen and Country.

    MCpl Rose was born in St John’s NL on 24 Aug 1962. He enrolled in the Canadian Forces in St. John’s NL on 30 July 1987 as a Field Engineer (041). After completing basic and trades training he was posted to 22 Field Sqn at CFB Gagetown where he remained until 1991 and was posted to CFB Suffield.

    In 1994 MCpl Rose remustered to Plumber/Gas Fitter (PH Tech). 1995 saw Cpl Rose being posted to 4ACT/4ESR at Gagetown where he stayed until 1999 after which he moved to 17 Wing Winnipeg were he remained for four years. Not being done with Air Force Wings yet, he took a posting to 9 Wing Gander which lasted until 2007. Then it was back to CFB Gagetown where MCpl Rose was posted to CFSME. It was there that he decided to retire from the Canadian Forces after 21 years of service.

    MCpl Rose completed four tours during his time with the Forces, two which were to the Golan Heights, one to Haiti, and one to CFS Alert.

    MCpl Rose will be retiring in Burton NB with his wife Joann and their two boys, Johnathan 13 and Tyler 5. He has secured a position within Base CE at CFB Gagetown.
