Maj Kelly Harvey, CD

    Major Harvey enrolled into the Canadian Forces on 21 June 1988 and graduated from the Royal Military College with a Bachelor of Engineering Degree in Civil Engineering in 1992. After completing her Airfield Engineer training in Chilliwack, BC, Major Harvey was posted to Canadian Forces Base Petawawa where she held the positions of Planning Officer and Design Officer.

    Major Harvey returned to school to complete a Masters of Engineering in Geodesy and Geomatics at the University of New Brunswick. Upon completion of her degree, she was posted to the Mapping and Charting Establishment in Ottawa where she was employed as a Troop Commander, Squadron 2i/c and Unit Operations Officer. During this posting, Major Harvey also completed a 7-month tour at the Multinational Division Headquarters in Banja Luka, Bosnia and Hercegovina.

    In 2001, she was promoted to her current rank and posted to the Canadian Forces Joint Support Group Headquarters in Kingston as Engineer Plans. On 11 July 2004, Major Harvey took command of 14 Airfield Engineering Squadron in Bridgewater, NS and in Jul 2007 returned to the Mapping and Charting Establishment as Deputy Commanding Officer. She will retire on 14 Jul 08 with 20 years of service to the CF.
