We regret to advise of the death of Major Errington “Ric” McMahon, (Ret’d) of Brockville ON in his 96^th year on 2 March 2011.
 
Ric was born and raised in Toronto ON. He attended Pickering College and studied mining engineering at Queen’s University in Kingston ON.  He was a veteran of the Second World War and served in the Royal Canadian Engineers in Northwest Europe reaching the rank of major.  He enjoyed a decades-long attachment to and concern for his fellow veteran Sappers of Queens University 5th Field Company of the Royal Canadian Engineers in Kingston. Ric was also a long time supporter of Pickering College in Newmarket, ON

Friends will be received at the Irvine Funeral Home and Chapel, 4 James Street East, Brockville, on 6 March after 1:00 PM until 2:00 PM when services will be held in the Chapel. Interment will take place in Mount Pleasant Cemetery, Toronto. Remembrance donations may be made to a charity of one's choice.
